Welcome to Leap for Joy Outdoor Academy, a forest school rooted in the heart of Chilliwack, BC. We empower children, youth, and families to connect with nature, learn through play, and grow with confidence in the outdoors.
Leap for Joy was started with a simple, heartfelt vision: embracing nature, finding our path, and growing together. What began as a dream to create a nurturing, curiosity-led outdoor learning space has become a community where learners feel seen, supported, and inspired to explore the world around them.
At The Outdoor Academy, we believe nature is the best classroom for young minds to thrive. Through child‑led play, purposeful risk‑taking, and seasonal place‑based experiences, we nurture resilience, empathy, and a deep sense of belonging.
By immersing children in the natural world, we aim to foster a deeper connection with their environment, sparking their curiosity and love for learning.
We commit to an inclusive environment that honours each learner’s voice, culture, and pace. We focus on tending relationships with ourselves, others and the land. Growing stewards who care, creators who imagine, and children who act with courage and kindness.
